Premier office on Monday issues notification regarding the extension of General Qamar Jawed Bajwa as Army chief of Pakistan for the period of next 3 years.
“General Qamar Javed Bajwa is appointed Chief of Army Staff for another term of three years from the date of completion of current tenure,” mentions the short statement from the Prime Minister’s office, a notice personally signed by PM Imran Khan.
Bajwa, the serving army chief was appointed by ex PM Nawaz Shareef in 2016 followed by the end of then Army Chief Gen. Raheel Shareef ‘s service.
